Does anyone know of a good Ergotron arm for an Artist Pro 24? Someone gifted me a tablet last year, but I haven't seen anything online about mounting one of these tablets to an arm. I saw one post complaining about arms over-weighted dipping forward and all the Youtube videos just us the Cintiq Pro 24 and its overly expensive Wacom Flex(?) arms. I heard about the Ergotron LX, but all I could find for a decent price was the Ergotron HX series. Anyone in these threads have any experience with drawing tablets being mounted to arms? Also, I believe the Xp-Pen Pro 24 is about 16 pounds, if that matters.

Basically study is where you copy and analyse artwork from your favourite artists. If called 'master copies/studies because people used to do that back in the day where they used to literally just copy and and tried to replicate people's techniques. It's way to try to get into the artist head trying to follow that lines and the strokes. Of course a lot of people now aren't just interested in older artists but more contemporary ones as well. So just pick a couple of your favorites and do some studies of them.
I like to map out the composition and then going to detail and then I'll just focus on a particular element that I like. It could be for example the way the clothes are folded on a jacket or the way a certain artists draws eyes. Then try drawing loads of those.
The draftsman podcast recently put up a video about this you might want to watch.

Also you’re drawing like you’re trying to write homework. Stop doing that. Get a pencil set with varying hardnesses. Stop thinking of the pencil as a writing instrument and play around with mark making, like turning it so that the side of the lead makes contact on the paper.

Hi, OP. Getting defensive isn't how you should take criticism.

And if you can't post your work, at least post art that's similar to yours so we can get an idea of what the art of a "pro level artist" that posts on /ic/ is like.

I tend to try to doodle on sticky notes or my sketch book an hour before bed. On the weekends I plug in my tablet and work on digital. I use to draw on my breaks but due to how much enjoyment I get from drawing at work I tend to lose track of time so I have stopped doing so.
I use to sketch customers as fast as possible when the end of my shift was rolling around and there wasn't much to do.
thanks to corona I havnt had much free time since they upped my work load, and then kicked me out of my old dept, due to the company trying to recoop losses from when they uncapped our overtime and temporarily gave us hero pay for 3 months. It sucks shit and every day I regret that I didn't go to college. I could be sitting pretty with the 2k neetbux for a year like most normies.
I'm a kroger employee btw, and yes before you ask I'm absolutely /beg/tier.

You sit down and draw something small and change small things about it. Like if you sit down to draw eyes. This video helped me.
https://youtu.be/k0ufz75UvHs
Furthermore go here and do the small practices at the end of each lesson to work on your pencil control and general construction.

Your drawings have a lot of fear of repercussions in them. Nothing horrible is going to happen if you make a mistake, you waste some paper of lead both of which are inexpensive. I recommend getting charcoal too if just to play with line variation/weight and contrast. Like in your first image, it’s not clear because the darkest values are still too light to be considered dark.

Fucking retards showing everything that’s wrong with this board and proving my point right.
>b-but you’re fat
>r-roastie REEEE
>underage edgelord
Neither of those things, more /fit/ than most of the projecting retards on this board and thread in general, not to mention more mature by the looks of things, I got a decent day’s worth of work done so I’m not as perturbed by you retards as normal, hope you idiots grow up a little for your own sake
>>5137338
I’m not a crab because I don’t waste time looking at or thinking of the stuff made by you idiots, but however I come off as, at least I have the willpower to be consistent and dedicated, unlike this board (and world at large) full of immature, zero self awareness “adults”

Yeah, it helps motivate me to draw. This is one of the few forums where people actually give critique and not tip-toe around other people's ego, which is kinda inspiring. Even if critique itself is trash.

I've been studying loomis in regards to heads and I've been using proko for the same thing. Now with vilppu I take it you are recommending I study his gesture drawings. This has confused me because I had assumed you'd want to understand anatomy before practicing motion. I take it I am incorrect?
