Oxtoby - Principles of Modern Chemistry
Not sure about a suggestion for organic chem
Voet and Voet - Biochemistry
McQuarrie for physical chemistry
Here I'd suggest more QM and for statistical mechanics:
Reif - Fundamentals of Statistical and Thermal Physics
Miessler - Inorganic Chemistry

Good for start but I read big boy's books now.

It doesn't really matter which general chem book you use, Oxtoby just has better exercises. The ones in Brown's Chemistry The Central Science are easier. But once you are past general chem it doesn't matter what book you used to get there. The Atkins general chemistry book is just as good as Oxtoby as well.
