Dump your reading lists, looking for a chemistry one.

Totally a good chemistry book

Did anyone really use these lists?

>> No.12582534

I used >>12580655, but only because I majored in physics.

do you listen to 4chan in making crystals as well?

PiHKAL and TiHKAL are worth reading if you're into psychedelics

I use them to find books that I might read.
I read some of them.

we still have to do a good chemistry one anon... maybe I could do that.

>> No.12584838

I'm not good at making the graphics, but some suggestions for a start (very basic):
Oxtoby - Principles of Modern Chemistry
Not sure about a suggestion for organic chem
Voet and Voet - Biochemistry
McQuarrie for physical chemistry
Here I'd suggest more QM and for statistical mechanics:
Reif - Fundamentals of Statistical and Thermal Physics
Miessler - Inorganic Chemistry

Clayden is the best one I've seen for organic chem

OK Good, well, there's the start of a chem list then.

I have The central science, how does it compare to Oxtoby?

You've read all that shit? Are you a stooodier or do you prefer to have a brief understanding of everything rather than specialize?
>Campbell Biology
Good for start but I read big boy's books now.

>> No.12587054

It doesn't really matter which general chem book you use, Oxtoby just has better exercises. The ones in Brown's Chemistry The Central Science are easier. But once you are past general chem it doesn't matter what book you used to get there. The Atkins general chemistry book is just as good as Oxtoby as well.

>> No.12588651

Do you know of some book shorter than Campbell for someone who just wants highs school level knowledge of biology?

Do you want me to make a graphic version of that?
I'll just place them in order and add a title.
