One of the people in my party has created such a hideous character that I plan to brutally kill him at the earliest opportunity. Has anyone had a similar experience? Don't you think it ruins the game too much?

You've gone from sympathetic to asshole. You could talk to your friend and work out why the character sucks, maybe agree to have your PC kill theirs. Instead you simply wish to kill theirs for the sake of it, for an out of character reason no less. How is this guy's characters so bad that you're not even willing to talk to your friend about changing them up. And if so, do you have any in character reason your character have to commit literal murder?

Why can't more primaris art look like this? I actually don't mind how the minis look, but the art always seems cartoony. This perfectly captures the aesthetic of the earlier editions while featuring primaris.

I work a mid-tier admin position and I like my job. I might not necessarily have wound up in this industry by choice but I like my role and would be doing something similar for a hobby if I wasn't doing it for a living (due to independant wealth, true UBI, etc).
The euthanasia thing was more a hyperbolic example of some of the issues we haven't solved yet but technically "could."

>Cult starts fighting them off, increasingly realizing how out of their depth they are

That's the opposite of WoD though.

In fact, one of the most common complaints about the games is that - while ostensibly plot-driven, the settings are dominated by a handful of high-powered NPCs and the players have essentially no ability to actually influence the stories...

Am I imagining it /tg/ or are we seeing a new wave of heartbreakers?
For the newfags; A fantasy heartbreaker is what you get when an enthusiastic amateur who has only ever played (or mainly played) D&D tries to design an RPG.
They essentially recreate the edition they're most used to with perhaps a couple of tweaks. Sometimes their changes can even be good, but any innovation is buried under so much D&D schlock (hence the heartbreak). This feels even more egregious with 5e, I think because of the lack of depth.
I'm seeing people attempting to create 5e-but-cyberpunk and shit like that too.
Even though D&D has always been dominant, it feels like 10 or so years ago there was more variety in known systems and what people got into RPGs with, or at least what other systems they might have tried.

>> No.77128150

A couple different ways.
I used to do sweepstakes that give rewards, there's an app where you can do virtual slots/blackjack to get rewards, and since then I've gotten a high enough MGM rewards tier to get free tickets.

So, I have a PK Fire deck, which is great. But I feel like the Burning abyss engine in the deck is really jank. They're really great to have in your starting hand but otherwise they're dead cards to have in the hand, especially late game. So I'm looking for candidates to possibly replace them. If I remove the Burning Abyss engine, it wouldn't hurt my extra deck save for Cherubini, but I rarely use him as it is. I'm thinking maybe 1 copy of uni-zombie would really help. Any advice?

Keep in mind the screenshot is cards I own irl.

Why do polearm fags shill for the spear, the most boring looking weapon ever made, when polearms such as the pollaxe and halberds are clearly the superior choice?

Captain Context here, it depends on the time period, weapon set and formation.
>Spear
your argument is looks? lmao when the most popular weapon in all of history which has captured continents rolls over your homeland. Can be produced cheaply, train a peasant to use it in a short time, and stay reliable for years.
>pollaxe
requires a lot of training. only your knights and men-at-arms can both afford and be proficient in its use. Also heavy and therefore slow and less utilitarian.
>halberd
an attack weapon, cheap and good. unfortunately also heavy and not so good for defensive formations against cavalry or other knights

>> No.77132441

>Also heavy and therefore slow and less utilitarian.
>not so good for defensive formations against cavalry or other knights
This is the opposite for each weapon. Halberds were long and were designed specifically to be used in groups and will murder fuck any cavalry that it comes into contact with. Pollaxes are not slow and heavy in any meaningful term and were the preferred weapon of knights when it comes to killing each other.

Yes. Dorfs are joos, and orcs are green skin mongolian niggers. Goblins are mexicans. High Elves are Germanic white people, a dying race that's technologically, culturally, and tactically superior to others, yet suffer from a low birthrate. Wood Elves are just American Indians. Tieflings are mulatto half breeds that everyone is repulsed by. Halflings are Jews who assimilate into white neighborhoods. Gnomes are protestant workaholics.

Everybody has stories of dumbass players or DMs. I should give mine to start us off.

To give context, when I was a teenager I started roleplaying on an imageboard-style site that had a sort of freeform RP set in a bar that met across dimensions. It was pretty fuckin neato. You could be anybody or anything, and if you acted like a retard then you were ignored.

>Literally the first thing That Guy did when arriving on the site was railroad somebody into hypnotizing him and making him cum
>It's a SFW site
>immediately becomes social pariah for obvious reasons
>Never knew because I wasn't on that day
>That Guy's characters were a brother sister pair
>The brother was an ametuer detecrive
>The sister was concerned about him getting hurt
>The twins are basically him and his sister
>He puts his "repressed" incestual urges into them
>By "repressed", I mean he tried to rape his sister once
>The attempt failed so pathetically that they just don't talk about it
>That Guy thought having his character disappear as a hermit for a three year timeskip was dramatic
>My character got over him and moved on instead, so it was retconned for being cringe
>Eventually sister is corrupted into futa tentacle hentai corruption creature, with no likeable traits
>This just happened out of the blue one day, no buildup

Cont.

The more you know about their origins, the easier it will be to see the red flags ahead of time and avoid situations like this. But I will admit it’s an unpleasant study.

So anyway to branch out from the OP here are some things I saw:
>The player reads through the pre-made adventure and uses it to his advantage till DM finds out
>He actively interrupts the DM
>He rule lawyers every 5 minutes
>He creates a cheesy ranged guy in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4e, doesn't engage in social interaction and sulks if me as a GM doesn't throw things his way besides letting him engage in batshit insane 110 BS stat antics
